SaveCFCinhalers.org (The National Campaign to Save CFC Asthma Inhalers) is a grassroots, nonprofit Social Welfare Organization registered in Indiana. ALL CAMPAIGN MANAGERS AND STAFF ARE UNPAID VOLUNTEERS. We are dedicated to protecting the health, safety, quality of life and human rights of all asthma and pulmonary patients by bringing about the permanent legalization of chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) in the United States.
We are the only asthma patient advocate organization that is fighting to bring CFC MDIs back for the patients who cannot tolerate HFA MDIs. And we are the only asthma patient advocate organization that accepts no funds from drug companies, other businesses, nonprofit organizations, or government agencies. We are the only asthma patient organization that is 100% dedicated to asthma and pulmonary patients because we are the only asthma patient organization that is 100% patient-financed.
Therefore, we are the only asthma patient organization willing and able to TELL THE TRUTH about *'environment-friendly' HFA MDIs, which is that THEY ARE NOT AS SAFE AND EFFECTIVE AS CFC MDIs.
*Nor are 'environment-friendly' HFA-134a MDIs environment-friendly. Their Global Warming Potential is much worse than that of CFC-11,12 MDIs (see Table 1).
